Lost and Found

Rar!

Every day should start with a Rar. And end with one, if possible, but that's a little more difficult and should only be attempted by individuals experienced in the skilled art of Raring.

Work just asked me if I'd like to stay on here another month. Yay! Also applying for a permanent position they're advertising and interviewing for on Oct 18th. Wheeee! ^.^

Have I mentioned I've rejoined the role-playing forum I used to rp at? If not, then I have. It's an American thingy - Dungeons and Dragons. Anyway, I've been having some hassle there of late, this past week or two. The majority of players there are in their 40s, and it astounds me how immaturely they behave. When I joined the first time 'round, 'role-play' meant assuming the identity of a fictional individual, otherwise known as acting. Playing a part. Pretending to be someone different for a while.

Now, apparently, it means behaving completely as yourself and doing and saying everything with utmost individualistic sincerity.

Yes, I'm being sarcastic, thankfully - but jeez, these people take things WAY too seriously. A) It's a game. B) It's not real. My characters are elves and half-elves ferchrissake, they're make believe; pretend.

Yeesh.

So I've been kinda frustrated and exhasperated and stuff concerning the behaviour of certain individuals on there. On Monday night in particular - so much so that I decided to let loose on my punchbag for a little while. Accidentally glanced a left hook off the bag and into the wall, and now have what the nurse called a 'bad soft tissue injury'. It's not fractured, I don't think.

Apparently, I have a formidable left hook. Fortunately for the wall, it's tougher than I am. ;o)

In a sudden bout of loneliness last week I joined this site thing called 'loopy love'. Had lots of weird messages and chat invites off freaks and weirdoes and people 20 + years older than me *shudder* but have also met a couple of... intriguing... peoples. Making friends is fun. Building on the foundations of possibility is funererer. ^.^

Gotta get back to work now - I have a 17 foot (feels like it) pile of paperwork to pick the staples from *snips staple remover threatningly* and then put the papers in the recycling bag.

Oh Frabjous day, Callooh, Callay!

Heh. Gimme a Snark any day. ;o)

Rar! (seeing as I'm just an amateur, it's probably best I make that my last for the day).

Congrats on the job (which I think I've said already, but just in case...). Ah, employment... How handy that used to be...

'Loopy Love'? *raises an eyebrow*
